Markus Gorfer from the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology will be presenting his research on the “Effects of management and climate change scenarios on microbial communities in rhizosphere and root endosphere of major European crops.” This insightful talk will be held on Monday July 15th, 2024 at 4:30 PM CEST in the Climate change, plant microbiomes and plant abiotic stress tolerance session.
Moreover, Tania Galindo Castañeda from ETH Zürich will also be sharing her expertise, presenting on the topic of “Interactions of root anatomical and architectural phenotypes with root microbiomes in maize under low nitrogen fertilization.” Catch her presentation on Tuesday July 16th, 2024 at 10:05 PM CEST in the Microbes and plant nutrition session.
About miCROPe 2024
miCROPe 2024 aims to bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical application in the field of plant microbiomes. The symposium will explore a wide range of topics, including:
- The diverse functions of microorganisms in crop production, from biocontrol to nutrient acquisition and stress tolerance
- Plant mechanisms and microbiome interactions
- Multipartite interactions within the plant-microbe system
- Translating microbiome research into practical applications for agriculture
Join the SOILGUARD team at miCROPe 2024!
We invite you to attend our presentations, engage in discussions with leading experts, and be part of the exciting movement towards a future of sustainable agriculture powered by the potential of plant microbiomes.
We look forward to seeing you in Vienna!
