We are thrilled to announce that SOILGUARD is exhibiting at the prestigious IGARSS 2024 congress! This year’s IIEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium is shaping up to be a landmark event, with nearly 4,000 manuscript submissions from leading experts around the world. It is showing a growing global interest in these critical fields.
The congress is being held in Greece, at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center, from July 7th to 12th,2024. It is hosted by the National Observatory of Athens. We invite you to visit our stand and learn more about SOILGUARD’s work!
Our Team of Experts
SOILGUARD benefits from the invaluable expertise of our team members from the National Observatory of Athens (NOA). Their extensive knowledge in earth observation and climate modelling, remote sensing methodologies and Sentinel data has been instrumental to the project’s success.
On the one hand, the NOA team has generated detailed climate projections for the LTE sites involved in the project. It contributed to the modelling of ecosystem services within the project. Furthermore, NOA has also played a crucial role in defining land degradation gradients for each of the NUTS-2 regions assessed in the project.
